The whole flock of sheep is heading the wrong way, opposite from the grazing grounds.
One of the little sheep realizes this and he tries to tell the others about this. And what he gets in return is that everyone neglects him by saying, “we all think this is the right way
and we can’t be wrong as we are wiser than you.” So now the little one is left with a choice! He has to choose to go the right way alone or go with the others in the wrong direction and later regret?
Does this problem sound familiar? To me it definitely does.
Each one of us arrives at the same situation as that of the sheep. And many of us choose to go in the wrong direction just because the majority is also going that way. While doing so we do not feel offended as we are not alone on this path and gradually we are totally convinced that the wrong is right.
And indeed this is happening with us. Don’t we see our ‘friends’ going the wrong way?
They indulge in all sorts of activities like stealing, smoking, lying to their parents, talking
rubbish and many more things. They justify their actions as an act of becoming mature.
And most of us fall prey to the trap.
The so-called maturity they are talking about is nothing more than in fact their foolishness. The actual maturity would be when we would not be influenced by them instead work according to our intellect. All of us can initially see the difference between the right and the wrong. But the thing that counts is our CHOICE!
And this choice requires a lot of efforts. We have to travel against the water flow and a little slip can take us down. Though this choice is tough and the path full of hurdles but the victory is certain.
Be not like the leaves that are easily carried away by the wind but take the example of a lotus which although grows in water but does not let any drop of water remain on it.
